Mateo Seré

I am an economist and Postdoctoral Researcher at University College London (UCL), on the 2025/26 economics job market.

My research uses machine learning, text analysis, and causal inference to study topics in political economy and labor economics.

My most recent work, forthcoming at the American Economic Review, analyzes gender dynamics in academic seminars.

I am also a Visiting Fellow at the International Inequalities Institute at the London School of Economics.
